Mazal Means Luck


    November 19, 1997 President Bill Clinton signs into law the Adoption and Safe Families Act, an attempt to correct problems in the foster care system deterring the adoption of children with special needs. But what happens when the parents are special need, how do they deal with raising a normative child? In Mazal Means Luck, the eponymous director chronicles her life, being raised by her grandparents and the impossible ethical dilemmas faced by her as her grandparents age and her parents become concerned about who will care for them in the future.
