March 16, 2012, around 6 a.m. on a Friday morning, 32 year old Shlomi Ariel left his home in Yehud, Israel in what his family described as a “psychotic state”. Several hours later a retired policeman reported the barefoot Ariel wandering around the highway. He was never seen again. Every year the Israeli Police process approximately 5000 missing person reports, with 20-30 never being solved. In Inertia Mira Segal wakes up to discover her husband has disappeared. The police open a missing persons file and advise her to wait.
