Israel’s First Ever Olympic Medal

On July 30, 1992 Judoka Yael Arad wins Israel’s first Olympic medal ever, a silver. As she writes about the day: “Emotionally it was the highest moment of my life… That day I changed from a person who wanted to a person who could. And that made all the difference.” For years however the athletes representing Israel at the Paralympics ‘could’, as they have consistently won medals. In Three Hundredths of a Second we follow the Israeli Paralympic swimming team at the 2000 Sydney games.
