Exposure to polluted river water and its causes on human health.

July 14, 1997. During the opening ceremonies for the 15th Maccabiah Games, a pedestrian bridge over the Yarkon River collapses while the second delegation, from Australia, was crossing. 66 are injured, but only one dies of injuries from the collapse. The other three deaths result from infections caused by exposure to polluted river water. This is just one story in the long path of the Yarkon, as told in Winding- A River Story.
