The Valderama Sisters

It wasn’t until December 16, 1968 that the Alhambra decree, which ordered the expulsions of Jews from Castille and Aragon, re: Spain was formally rescinded. Ostensibly enacted to eliminate Jewish influence on the converso population, it forced Jews to either “convert or die”. Over 500 years later, conversion, in the other direction, from Catholic to Jewish is the focus of The Valderama Sisters, as the three titular sisters seek to formally join the Jewish faith.
