On August 29 2005, Hurricane Katrina makes landfall in southeast Louisiana setting off a disastrous chain of events. Besides the destruction of the hurricane itself, the emergency response was mired in politics and led to terrible death and destruction in New Orleans. After the Storm chronicles the production of a musical in the wake of the disaster. Following a dozen teenage actors two years afterwards, it chronicles how a community comes together in the wake of a disaster.
