Being the Father of Leninism

Born on April 22, 1890, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, always seems to be a serious kind of guy. Maybe it’s the weight of establishing the Soviet Union, being the father of Leninism, or just the spiky beard, but every image of him he seems to be glaring at us like we did something wrong. It’s not clear he would get the joke as one of the bastions of communism is turned into a capitalist icon in Lenin in October.
